I’m thinking about buying a cheap Ikea bed, but getting a memory foam mattress pad. Good idea?

I’m looking at a frame that’s $100, a mattress thats 150, then 100 for a mattress pad. It seems cheaper than getting a traditional bed, looks nice, but I’m wondering how comfortable it will be. I figure with the mattress pad it should be pretty solid. Any advice.

Foam is hot, too hot for me.
very comfy…
We have the same setup in my daughter’s room and it has worked out very well. Have a foam mattress and traditional bed frame in my own.The foam can be hot, but for me, the comfort outweighs the heat problem. I have felt more rested, no back problems and have not been disturbed by the movements of my wife during a restless night.
